pond and then, behind it,
another. Carp twitching
in a bracelet of brightness

and then, nothing. The
way it was with you.
Dazzled and hypnotized,
and then, where you
were, nothing, a blur of

grey, a colorlessness
all the more drab because
of the iridescence that
transformed it, that glitter,
untouchable baby, tho

leaving its stain in some
dreams
